About Me

Hello Friends! I’m Michelle—the maker, dreamer, and hands behind E.Lee & Chickadee creations in Sioux Falls, SD.
What started as a love for sewing and creating has grown into something much more meaningful. I’ve been sewing for almost 30 years, and have always loved taking a piece of fabric and turning it into something beautiful, useful, and made to be a part of everyday life.
My little shop is inspired by my family, my creativity, and the belief that handmade things just feel a little more special. Every item is sewn by me, one at a time, with lots of care and a whole lot of love.
Some days, I’m making something simply because it’s fun and pretty. Other days, I’m creating things that make everyday tasks a little easier—like jar grippers and other helpful little tools. Sewing has become a way for me to turn challenges into creativity and create things that are both practical and joyful.
The name E.Lee & Chickadee is especially close to my heart. It is named after my children who are both the inspiration behind so much of what I create. What began with projects for my family has grown into a small business that allows me to share those creations with you.
I believe that handmade doesn’t have to mean perfect. It means personal. It means pouring a little piece of myself into something made just for you.
Whether you’re here for something useful, something beautiful, or simply something that makes you smile, I’m so glad you found my little corner of the internet.
Made by hand. Made with love. Made for everyday life.
